The Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) International and We Play Well Together are honored to partner with Kichwa women of Sarayaku in the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador to sell and distribute their beaded jewelry and pottery. All profits from your purchases will directly support the livelihood of the craftswomen, and their advocacy work to protect the forest through Amazon Women Defenders of the Jungle (Mujeres Amazonicas Defensoras).

Finely made pottery made by indigenous Amazon women. Each bowl is one of a kind. This bowl has a symmetrical design and cultural significance to their tribe.

The inside has abstract lines with what seems to be some kind of reptile or amphibian. It gives the illusion that this animal decided to climb into this bowl and is saying hello. The outside has a simpler geometrical design. Paint pigments and glazes are made from their local earth clay. The diameter is 4 inches and has 1.5 inches in height.
